Each state, province and country have their own rules regarding digital signatures and how and where they are accepted for use. Vaultie is accepted anywhere where digital signatures are legal for use. As a Canadian company, we satisfy the rules of the Electronic Commerce Act, and the E-sign Act in the US, which allows you to use Vaultie anywhere you can use a digital signature.
There are some provinces and states that grant expanded usage for special types of digital signatures or documents. Notably, signatures that are verifiable, blockchain-based or have special characteristics. Vaultie is a blockchain-based, universally verifiable digital signature and is legal for use in any jurisdiction or special circumstance where these are also requirements.
Very few, but some, places have special requirements when it comes to digital notary signatures. These might be special image-based “digital seals”, Vaultie does not currently support image-based uploads directly onto the platform.
